God did not create the idea of the "teenager", man did. It is a cultural phenomenon invented in the early 20th century that has degraded into an expectation of a group without purpose or promise other to line the pockets of video game companies and clothing manufacturers.
Although all believers need community, few groups within the church need it more than youth and young adults. In a world constantly offering this age group opportunities for unwholesome activity and pursuit of self gratification, young followers of Jesus need a community of like-minded peers to encourage them in their faith but also to multiply their potential for influencing the world around them with the love of Jesus.
Our youth activities strive to provide an opportunity not only for healthy peer relationships, but to also equip them to put feet to their faith, as the young people learn to reach out to the hurting and the lost, with the love of Jesus.
